The Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital
An Advanced Care Facility
The Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital provides advanced medical services and a comprehensive approach to treatment in every area of children's healthcare. Located on Rambam Health Care Campus, it is the only children's hospital dedicated exclusively to pediatric medicine in Northern Israel.
Ground Floor
Located on the ground floor are The Cheryl Spencer Pediatric Emergency Department, accredited by the Ministry of Health as one of Israel’s top emergency medicine departments. Gredinger Hall, The Forman Family Science Museum, and the Pediatric Medical Imaging Unit are also located on this floor.
First Floor
The highly specialized staff in the Department of Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit care for over 5,000 newborn infants annually, providing a wide range of treatments using the most advanced technologies and techniques.
Second Floor
A highly specialized multidisciplinary team in the Pediatric Nephrology Institute provides comprehensive care for children with a wide range of kidney and urinary tract disorders.
The Wagner-Green Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides round-the-clock care for preterm and full-term infants, as well as immunocompromised children, with life-threatening medical conditions. The Unit is distinguished by its integration of advanced diagnostics and treatment while focusing on individual patient needs.
Third Floor
Following hospital discharge, children from all pediatric departments are referred to the Outpatient Clinic for ongoing care. The Clinic provides a wide range of specialized services, including pediatric gastroenterology, pulmonology, and endocrinology.
The D. Dan & Betty Kahn Foundation Pediatric Pulmonary Institute provides specialized care for children with chronic lung conditions. Caring for more than 4,000 outpatients each year, the Institute offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including non-invasive lung function assessments for preschool children, lung clearance index testing, exercise and sweat tests, and bronchoscopies. The Institute also serves as one of Israel's five Cystic Fibrosis Centers.
The Pediatric Psychiatry Unit provides emotional and psychological support for toddlers, children, adolescents, and their families.
The Meri and Sol J. Barer Play Atrium features interactive games, activities, and toys that create a welcoming environment where young patients can play, learn, and enjoy moments of normalcy during their time at the Children's Hospital.
Fourth Floor
The Department of Pediatrics A provides comprehensive care for children with acute and chronic conditions across the full spectrum of general pediatrics. Areas of expertise include juvenile diabetes, sleep disorders, infectious diseases, and gastrointestinal and neurological conditions.
Fifth Floor
The Meri & Sol J. Barer Pediatrics B Department provides comprehensive care for children with a broad spectrum of general pediatric and internal medicine conditions, including joint and gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic disorders, and adolescent health. The Department performs specialized diagnostic procedures such as liver biopsies, joint aspirations, metabolic disease testing, and other screening examinations. In its outpatient clinics, children receive advanced treatments, including biological therapies for Crohn's disease and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, as well as enzyme replacement therapy for Pompe disease.
Sixth Floor
The Department of Pediatric Surgery performs a wide range of minimally invasive and other surgical procedures, including abdominal and thoracic surgery for congenital anomalies, traumatic injuries, tumors, hernias, and other pediatric conditions.
The Herta and Paul Amir Pediatric Cardiology Institute uses the latest three-dimensional cardiac imaging technologies to diagnose congenital and acquired heart conditions, perform interventional procedures, and improve patient outcomes.
Seventh Floor
The Joan & Sanford Weill Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation cares for children with cancer and blood diseases, and achieves a cure rate of approximately 80%—comparable to figures in Western Europe and the United States.
Bone marrow transplants are performed in the Reiner-Shudi Bone Marrow Transplant Unit
Eighth Floor
Accompanying children on their journey toward better health, a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists helps patients and their families adapt to the challenges of illness while maximizing each child's function and quality of life.
The Barer-Zairi Pediatric Neurology Unit diagnoses and treats children with complex neurological disorders. Care is provided both during hospitalization and through specialized outpatient clinics.
The Sensory Stimulation Room—the Snoezelen Room—provides a calming environment where multisensory therapies help reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, and encourage engagement through enjoyable, interactive experiences.
Now under construction, the Azrieli Foundation Pediatric Rehabilitation Center will provide essential rehabilitation services for children across Northern Israel as they recover from serious illness or injury, helping them achieve their fullest potential and maximum independence.
Ninth Floor
Construction of an additional floor of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center—an 1,800 square meter space, has begun.
