Rambam Tops Emergency Room Triage and Operating Room Efficiency in National Health Report

Rambam Health Care Campus received widespread praise and positive media coverage across Israel this week following its outstanding achievements in the recently published Ministry of Health 2023–2024, National Plans Report.
The National Plans Report for 2023–2024 was recently published by the Israeli Ministry of Health. The report assesses Israel's public hospitals across a range of quality and performance indicators. Beyond recognizing the high-quality work of hospital teams, meeting these benchmarks also has significant financial implications, as hospitals that achieve the targets receive additional funding.
Rambam ranked first nationwide in two key indicators: operating room efficiency and emergency department time-to-triage. Of the 28 hospitals ranked, Rambam ranked second in preventing functional decline among hospitalized older adults.
“These achievements are the result of true teamwork across all hospital sectors and reflect a strong drive to improve and move forward,” says Dr. Michal Mekel, Rambam’s Director General. “From 2023 to 2024, Rambam improved in additional indicators as well—and in some, we reached the top. I am confident that in the next Ministry of Health report, Rambam will continue to show progress across even more measures.”
